POLLEX T IV
Introduction
The purpose of this course is to engage science students in the required principles and practices This course will moor the foundational desirability among different science disciplines to understand or analysis. As you are well aware that experimental work is the Achilles heel of Indian science. Of late, the Indian education space is rapidly changing: there are new school systems and new ways of teaching are recommended for the older systems. The science curricula of these new systems lay heavy emphasis on experiment based learning. Additionally, there is a dearth of work force in the skill sector, which needs to be urgently filled by young scientists and technologists. An appropriate procedural knowledge of experiments is a sine-qua-non for the success of our scientific community. To meet these expectations, we are going to host a two day (May 27th -28th, 2019) Comprehensive workshop cum hands- on training program named ‘ POLLEX-T IV’ to nurture talent for excellence in science, both in theory and experiment among school and junior College students in collaboration with Asian Development Educational & Research Foundation (ADERF ) and Asian Physics Olympiad Cell(APhO-IAPT). There are many programs which purport to carry this out but POLLEX-T IV is unique and stands apart which lays emphasis on experiment along with a healthy balance with theory. POLLEX-T IV strives to provide cutting edge experimental training and to harmonize it with the theory. The perspective of synchronising theory with experiment alone will provide solutions to the enormous challenges confronting the nation in the 21st century besides improving the performance of students in various reputed competitive exams like IIT-JEE, NEET, KVPY, NTSE, OLYMPIADS, SAT etc. This is a unique initiative to promote skills, hands-on-activity and excellence in theory and experiment among young scholars. Parents and teachers are encouraged to attend this. This session is aimed to update and aware students, parents as well as teachers to clarify the common misconceptions in sciences and techniques for proper talent nurturing in science for meritorious students.
Target Audience
